Parent Informational Meeting
8:30 – 9:30 Sunday June 14, 2026 – JOIN INFORMATION
If you were unable to attend the parent information meeting, please feel free to view the recording for relevant information here. You may be required to enter the password 4iCJKcPq to view it. The player-created international trip video discussed in the meeting can be viewed here.
Expectations
- It is required that players attend at least 1 tryout session to be considered for the state pool rosters.
- It is recommended players attend multiple sessions and all 3 if possible. This gives the coaches the most accurate representation of the player.
- Players are asked to wear the tryout shirt/alternate jersey purchased prior to the end of day June 24. They should wear this with dark (navy blue or black) shorts and dark socks.
- Players are asked to wear neutral gear. Players should not wear club affiliated gear to preserve the club-neutral environment within the program.
- Players should bring an inflated ball (emphasis on inflated!) and plenty of water.
- Players should wear shin guards and soccer cleats.
Late Registration
If you would like to register after the June 24, 2026 deadline and still attend the summer tryout sessions, you are welcome to do so at your own risk. The June 24, 2026 deadline is set by Soccer Post, as it is the latest date they can guarantee delivery of your tryout jersey in time for the first summer tryout session. Registration will remain open from June 25, 2026, through July 19, 2026.
To participate in a summer tryout session on July 8, July 21, or August 2, you must purchase a tryout jersey/alternate shirt and have it in your possession before attending a tryout session. Players will not be permitted to participate until they have purchased a tryout jersey and can wear it to a tryout session.
There are no walk-ups permitted at tryouts. Tryout registration will close permanently on July 19, 2026.
Special Notes
- You are required to attend a 2026 tryout session to be considered for the 2027 state training pool and to maximize the benefits of the program for your son.
- Obstacles in timing with paperwork, uniform purchases, friendlies rosters, and the international trip will occur if your son does not tryout in the summer.
- You may reach out to the Boys’ ODP Director via email if your son cannot make a summer tryout session. The Boys’ ODP Director will make the effort to work with you, but there is no guarantee that he will be able to do so. It is expected that an increased number of players will tryout this year. Your son’s pool may not have the space for him if he does not attend a summer tryout.
- You may reach out to the Boys’ ODP Director via email if you have discovered the PA West Olympic Development Program after summer tryouts have concluded. The Boys’ ODP Director will make the effort to work with you to evaluate your son, but there is no guarantee that he will be able to do so given limited spots in each age group.
