The Century United U17 Boys are National Champions!
Century United has etched its name into the history books, claiming the 2026 US Youth Soccer National Championship with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Pitt-Greenville Stars (NC) in Monday’s championship final.
The title capped off an unforgettable week of competition, as Century United showcased the talent, resilience, and determination that carried them through one of the nation’s most prestigious youth soccer tournaments.
The road to the championship was anything but easy. Century United would drop their first match of the tournament to Pitt-Greenville Stars (NC) in a 5-2 loss. Century United followed up bracket play with a convincing 5-1 victory over Gretna Elite Academy (NE) before earning another impressive 5-3 win over Sporting Arkansas to continue their championship pursuit.
In the quarterfinals, Century United displayed remarkable composure under pressure. After battling Mandeville Soccer Club (LA) to a 1-1 draw, the team advanced with a dramatic 5-4 victory in the penalty shootout, keeping their national title hopes alive.
That momentum carried into the semifinals, where Century United defeated TF Rapids SC (ID) to earn a place in the National Championship match.
With the title on the line, Century United rose to the occasion. A determined performance and a 2-1 victory in a rematch over Pitt-Greenville Stars (NC) secured the program’s US Youth Soccer National Championship, capping an extraordinary tournament run.
The victory marks a milestone not only for Century United, but for the entire PA West Soccer community, as the club becomes the first-ever PA West Soccer team to win a US Youth Soccer National Championship. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication of the players, coaches, and families who have worked tirelessly throughout the season. Their commitment, teamwork, and perseverance were on full display from the opening match to the championship celebration.
