Referee Mentors and Referee Coaches train referees at all levels, conducting courses and clinics in support of referee certification and re-certification requirements. Requirements for Referee Mentor
Minimum Age
18
Referee Experience
Must have been a certified referee for at least two years.
Recommendation
Must be approved by the SRC.
Testing
Must pass the Referee Mentor online exam.
Training
Must attend and pass the in-person training sessions.
Clearances
Must have all PA required background clearances and SafeSport.
Requirements for Referee Coach
Minimum Age
21
Referee Experience
Must have been a certified referee mentor or regional assessor for each of the two previous years
Recommendation
Must be approved by the SRC.
Testing
Must pass the Referee Coach exam, complete the four pre-work assignments and three assignments during in person training. Then complete one additional assignment after the in- person training has concluded.
Training
Must complete the online course pre-work, attend the referee coach course in person session which is a multi-day clinic and pass the in-person training sessions.
Clearances
Must have all PA required background clearances and SafeSport.
