All USASA Members,
The historic 100th anniversary of the National Amateur Cup will be held in Chicago from August 2-4, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois, the home of USASA. This landmark event celebrates a century of sportsmanship, dedication, and community bringing together teams from all regions of the country to compete for the title of National Amateur Cup Champion. The Women’s National Amateur Cup will be contested at the same time.
Since 1924, the Amateur Cup title has represented the best amateur adult soccer in the United States, from the first winner of the event, Fleischer Yarn to the most recent, Mesoamerica SC. This centennial edition promises to be an extraordinary celebration of the beautiful game. USASA aims to create an unforgettable experience for the players, families, and members in exciting Chicago. It is also expected that the event will also be broadcast live. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
This year’s tournament will include some administrative changes from prior years. All teams will register with the USASA office, as had been done several years ago. Teams will still qualify for the national semifinals through regional qualifying events. Our national and regional league teams will participate with entries at the regional level.
Teams will be able to enter the tournament by completing an application and submitting it with a $100 fee to the national USASA office beginning September 1, 2023. The deadline for applications is October 15, 2023.* Applications will be available soon on the USASA website.
*Request for waivers of this date may be made to the office depending on state/regional qualifying requirements.
