Q. What is Esports?
Esports also known as "electronic sports" is organized video gaming sports competition often played individually or in teams.
Q. What ages can participate?
Players 10-19 years old can participate in the video gaming club's events. Those under the age of 13 must have a family account due to COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). Those creating accounts for under the age of 13 will be verified as safety of our young players is important to our association and AYCE.
Q. What is the cost of participating in the Gamer Club?
Starting January 2021, we will be implementing seasonal or annual video gaming passes. These passes allow for the players to compete in ladders, tournaments, and leagues each season. Pricing is available during registration.
Q. What is the AYCE Platform?
The AYCE Platform is supported by GYO Score and is an online gamer community platform that is built to help connect players with video gaming opportunities, tournaments, esports scholarships, and more. Unlike many platforms, AYCE Platform is also built to allow for parental registration and oversight of child accounts in order to help parents monitor and understand their child's video gaming habits and to take advantage of potential college opportunities for esports. Because AYCE is the only platform that has placed an emphasis on child safety and parental involvement, your State Association selected AYCE as our official vendor to help facilitate online gaming leagues for our players to participate during downtime from soccer.
Q. What are the benefits of playing esports?
There is a wide range of benefits for children who participate in measured video gaming including, cognitive development, social engagement, and the development of motor skills.

Q. Are games child-friendly and non-violent?
We do not offer violent games or games rated 'M' in our program. Our video gaming club offers non-violent titles such as FIFA 20 to complement kids' soccer development on the grass field as well as in the digital space. We also explore other games such as Minecraft, Rocket League, Mario Kart and more!
Q. Who does my child play against?
The AYCE Platform allows kids to safely play esports games with kids in their current soccer club as well as other clubs affiliated with your State Soccer Association. Our video gaming club offers a fun & safe digital environment where children represent their clubs while competing against their peers, (people you know) from clubs they compete with on the grass leagues.
Q. Do you provide copies of the video games?
No, we do not provide copies of any games, they must be purchased and owned by the players.
Q. What is COPPA?
COPPA is the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act that states children under the age of 13 are not allowed to create online accounts. However, GYO is the only Safe Harbor & COPPA Certified platform that allows children under the age of 13 to create accounts by having parents supervise them via a parental account.
