After being selected to the 2021 United Coaches Division III All-America Second- Team for the second consecutive playing season, former PA West ODP player Alex Adams is now a two-time All American for her performance as a forward with the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team. Adams was the only freshman in 2019 to be honored as an All-American after being a third-team selection.
Adams previously played for Beadling Soccer Club, the oldest continuously operating soccer club in the country, as well as North Allegheny Soccer Club.
This season Adams was the team leader in goals, scoring eleven goals and her fourth career NCAA playoff goal in the NCAA Division III Women’s Sectional Semifinal against MIT. In her freshman season Adams set a new season record for points with 34, and tied the goal scoring record with 14, and game winnings goals with seven.
Adams is the second player to be named a two-time United Soccer Coaches All- American in Carnegie Mellon women’s soccer history.
