The 2022 Annual General Meeting was held at the Marriot - Pittsburgh Airport on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
The meeting started with a presentation from Ernie Rehrig and Nick Robo from Stack Sports, a sports technology company. Stack Sports offers services to engage and develop players, innovative software solutions that power every season, and helps assist volunteers, administrators, and the organizations who make soccer possible.
Mike Dokmanovich from TapNPay followed the Stack Sports presentation, sharing with the group how making purchases through TapNPay helps to earn your club revenue from every purchase.
The State Council approved the 2022-23 budget unanimously. The budget does not include an increase in player or team registration fees.
The State Council considered and approved two amendments to the Youth Division Bylaws. The amendments create a new appointed post of Tournament Director while transitioning the Open and State Cup Director posts to standing committee chairs. The Tournament Director will work with the State Cup, Open, and Presidents Cup committees to help them with planning and execution, as well as look at additional tournament opportunities that can be undertaken by the association.
Two board member positions were up for re-election this year; Youth Vice- President and Member At- Large. Chris Grine was re-elected as Youth Vice- President. Mark Hopkins kept his title of Member At- Large after being re-elected.
Nick Druga TOPSoccer Chair presented to the meeting about the program, which is a recreational sports program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional or physical disabilities offered only through local USYS affiliated soccer clubs.
