Three Crowned Champs

For the first time in the history of the regional championships PA West Soccer had three teams from separate clubs lift trophies as champions.

The Century V 18 Girls defeated an experienced and talented Princeton team 1-0.  Sophia Hudson knocked in the game winner in the 65th minute.  The win was over a team making its second consecutive trip to the regional final.

The North United 16 Girls claimed their title with a 3-2 victory over SJEB Rush from NJ.  Rush jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 17 minutes. United responded with a Lucy Ream goal two minutes after the second Rush marker.  United added a pair of second half goals form Ream (62nd) and Megan Donnelly (75th) to complete the comeback.  United defeated PA West Soccer State Cup Champ Northern Steel in the semi-finals; they were participating in regionals as the representative from the Eastern Regional League.

The Beadling 15 Boys repeated as regional champ with a 5-0 win against GPS NY Regional (WNY).  Ethan Sanders set the tone for the game with a third minute goal.  Joe Fonagy a second goal four minutes later to make it 2-0.  In the 44th minute Ethan Sanders made it 3-0.  Cyrus Khan notched a 62nd minute goal.  Anthony DiFalco capped the scoring with a 71st minute maker.

In 2015 Beadling sent three teams (U16G, U18G, U19G) to Nationals in Tulsa.
