Butler Native Earns Three Caps with US Women's Team At Algarve Cup
Former PA West Soccer ODP standout Megan Schnur was on the US Women's National Team squad that just claimed the 2010 Algarve Cup in Portugal.  The US Women defeated Iceland, Norway, and Sweden to advance to their 8th consecutive Algarve Final in which they defeated Germany 3-2.

Think Spring...And Summer...Time To Register For The Open
Registration for PA West Soccer's largest tournament is now open.  It's June 18-20 and 25-27 at Edinboro.  This year's tournament will still feature playing divisions for travel teams of all ages and abilities but has also added an open division for tournament teams, classic teams and out-of-state teams, as well as travel teams wanting to test their ability at the highest level.  And now registration is online...to get in on the fun go to the Open Tournament Online Registration Form.
 
US Youth Soccer Offers Scholarships
US Youth Soccer announced applications are now available for the second annual William J. "Billy" Goaziou Scholarships for post-secondary education.  The $1,000.00 scholarships are awarded to one male and one female planning to attend a post-secondary education institute for the first time in the fall of 2010.  For more info or to download an application the US Youth Soccer web site.  The deadline to apply is March 15, 2010.
